Damn hesperus, you beat me to it! I wanted to post this vid, had the Google video link for quite some time, but I thought I'd wait till I get a better version. Huuuge mistake, that cost me a lot of rep points I guess.

They used mostly old footage for introduction part at the beginning of the vid and made a mistake by showing a C6 convertible. If you look closely, at the track there is a Z06. The Z06 in Europe is identical to the one in NA, hood scoop, no auto and everything.

atleast they used the correct one for the test. biasism at its best

 

There is also contoversy as to the validity of the times. For example in the video at the end they quote 32.X for the SLR to 300KMH, in the magazine they quote 36.X . Also, Ferrari was the only car, that was not a production car, and had a team tweaking it during every run.

For those interested in the Bugatti, here's a Top Gear Video. Jeremy Clarkson had in one of thier crazy races raced a Bugatti Veyron against an aircraft... it's a long vid, but great to watch.

High entertainment value, actual race may be just a bit staged.

bugatti wing reminds me of the CGT wing.

 

This test would have been even better if they put a CGT in there. that would have been GREAT!

And the fact that the car is governed at 250mph... just in case it goes faster....

 

Since they used a Veyron and SLR, why no Enzo instead of 599? Is it just NEW cars? I guess so, because that would explain the lack of CGT too.

 

They did the same test with the CGT but at Nardo and the CGT made 330kmh..(from memory, it may have been slower)
