AMS regularly does those high-speed tests, sometimes with stock cars, sometimes they do a tuner shoot-out etc. Usually they do it at Nardo, it's the first time they're doing it at the VW testing facility.

As AdamT said, the CGT has been tested before, together with the Enzo, Murcielago, DB9, Conti GT and SLR. I knew I had the results from this tests and was able to find them. There you go, in case anyone's interested:
