At the risk of being flagged a newbie (or worse), does the SSK require a change to the part of the shifter/**** that you see/touch? I paid extra for the cool looking (IMO) shifter, and would hate to waste money on it if not compatible with SSK.

I ordered mine in late May in GT silver originally but after I got back from my Austria trip (test driving the Turbo) I changed mine to Cobalt blue then over the next few days after that I made additional changes. My production date which initially was 8/01/06 got bumped to 10/26/06 before eventually being built on 9/15/06. Really frustrating for me to see that "bump" happen.
