Z06 is bone stock and not even broken in yet. Only 900 miles on the clock.

I guess there is no way for me to prove this to you, but if you don't want to believe it to make yourself feel better, then so be it..

I didn't watch the vid yet, but did the roof fly off the Vette? Can you see any of the trim pieces falling off?

This stuff is EXACTLY why I'll never buy a Corvette... The whole "my car is faster" is solely the territory of ******bags. I gave that up back when I was 20 or so. Driving is a complete experience - unless you live your life a quarter mile at a time...

I want to see a race between the top of the line Chevy (Corvette) versus the top of the line Porsche (Carrera GT)

OR

cheapest chevy coupe/cabriolet ( 148hp Cobalt) versus the cheapest Porsche coupe (245hp Boxter/Cayman)!!

then lets see who is King!!

Personally I love the Z06 and it is a complete monster, let alone one of the biggest bangs for the buck to be had today! But there are so many other catagories these cars can be compared and I would take the TT hands down over the Z06 for just being a complete car that can be driven everyday no matter the weather. I will not even get into fit and finish between the two (german + 40K).

That comentary at the end makes me angry because it is just so steriotypical of Vette owners! Have some class, you will never find a 6speed member posting trash like that on a Z06 forum!

Hey, is that you??..

I somehow expected that some of you will give no props to a car that can out accelerate your beloved 997 TT's.

No, the roof didn't fall off. That was a 1st year problem (On some, not all) that was fixed in 2007. Most cars have bugs worked out in the first year. Must I remind you?

i would rather have the turbo, but there is no doubting how great the vette really is. I would take a black Z06 anyday.

I have a 997 TT and 2 plastic Chevrolets so I like both. Anyway I have raced a 2007 Z06 several times from 0 to about 120mph. I won each time. My car is a 6 speed with 5000 miles. The Plastic Chevy had about 1500 miles. We switched drivers and the Porsche still won. The Plastic car is a good deal for the money but it feels cheap too.

Its a drivers race, posting videos of one beating the other not going to sway an opinion but I love watching them all the same.

There are Z06 guys and 997TT guys - thats all really. Enjoy them both.

Nice runs!!

I never had any doubt that the Z would take the 997TT from a roll.

Now, looking at the last race it took about 13 seconds for the Z06 to catch the 997TT to become dead even with it again. That's about what I would have predicted.

Also, I might add that the turbo didn't look like it did a full powerbrake with only 1 second or so since the cars were only stopped for a split second before the race. If the 997TT did a full powerbrake the distance between the 2 cars would have been greater.

Still not as bad as your roof flying off. If it was the actual exhaust than I would question Porsche quality and speaking or quality take a look at this.

WTF I don't get it you have a car with 7.0L vs. 3.8L (Turbo) still you would think all that being equal except the engin size the Vet should win!.
