What is in detail the ruf rt12 engine?
Just wanted to know.
996tt engine or 997tt?
lowered higher compression?
rsr oil pump?
forged internals/ ruf internals?
headwork?
what turbos ? new garrett ball bearing watercooled or older tech kkk?
gt28 / gt30 / k24 / k26 , hybrids???
what pressure?
saw a ruf exhaust, looks like factory with welded tips , internal work?!?
many other question will come as it comes in mind ...

From what I understand...
996TT Motor
K24/K26 RUF Turbos
Internals (not sure from who)
RUF Exhaust is a stock exhaust that is modified inside and has their tips
I am not too sure on the whole thing, but that is what I do know![Smilie](https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

From what I have read; they start with a GT3 engine and change cylinders to get 3.8 liters. Internals include titanium connecting rods. That’s all I can remember for now, however I read that it is completely developed for the RT12.
I think internals vary some depending on which hp rating they are going after.

thanks for the words
another question,
what intercoolers they use? oem gt2 or custom like evo? liquid to air like 9ff? beceuse the air inlet is far higher on the body than the regular air inlet on porsche body.
custom head work? cams?
for the muffler i presume they delete the "chambers" and modify the flow path? what headers they use? custom? oem ported?
ruf owners go under your car

Here are some of the details on the engine:
crank, rods titanium, pistons, cylinders 3,8L, camshafts, oilpump, custom head work, new fuel regulator, fuel rails, extra fuel pump, catch tank, larger intake from airbox, larger aluminium intake after MAF, larger intake pipes, turbos, custom inconel headers, 80 mm exhaust and some more.
Here are some of the details on the gearbox:
Oilcooling like the Gt2 ( the cost is around 8000 Euro to convert the turbo gearbox), limited slip.

Ruf uses the GT2 oil pump for the 3.8 Liter (650) conversions on the 996TT/GT2. I was told this by Ruf Germany.
They replace the:
-crank shaft
-cam shafts
-cylinder heads

Ruf Germany told me that stock GT2 intercoolers are used for the 650 conversion.

i wonder, if you send garrett turbo to them and some evoms i/c maybe they can mount them from the factory on the rt12 engine?
kkk seems old tech and gt2 i/c smallish for that kind supercar

found the titanium rods
![](http://www.ruf-web.co.jp/parts/images/R93-103-020-00.jpg)
dream car would be a 750hp rwd ruf RGT body with rt12 engine using faster spooling hybrid k24/gt30 dual bb and watercooled ,and some big intercoolers like evom's for peace in mind. White like hesperus's but with leon s's interior.
some new engine package to develop , give me the money i'll try it out for us
