5 Point restraints for a 997TT

I'm considering taking my 997TT to the track. I usually take a Vet with a roll bar and 5 points.

I have the regular seats without an opening to bring the top 2 belts through. What are my options? I don't want to cut the car up like I did the Vet.

thanks.

im new to this forum and to Porsches for that matter but from what i understand u dont want to put a sub belt in unless u have race bucket seats. it sounds like u have 3 options:
1. keep ur stock seats and get a 4 point harness
2. buy race bucket seats and get the 5 pt harness
3. GT3 seats and get the 5 pt harness.

If you are going to be tracking the car a lot the best option is a roll bar and seats with harness pass throughs. They don't necessarily have to be fixed back but they are safer. Personally I wouldn't run harnesses without a roll bar.

Belts through the seats.

Boostjunkie, when I visited a PCA track day, just to visit not run, I was told 5 points were only allowed if they went through the seats. I guess the rule are different in different places.

Yeah I absolutely agree. You can get reclining seats with a 5th point passthrough though, like the Recaro Speeds for example.
