Road Bike in A 997 - how easy is the fit with passenger forward and seats folded

Thinking of a 997 (maybe TT) for a daily driver - caveat is I need to get my road bike in it -- thru the side door - I expect to take the wheels off (maybe just the front hopefully), but is anyone doing this?

Porsche makes a roof mounted bike rack, wouldn't that be a lot easier? Check out the Tequipment catalog on the Porsche website.

The OEM roof rack is the way to go. It doesn't take much to scratch or tear the leather if your not careful.

Not a roof rack kinda person - seriously. Hate how it looks when not in use. Need to stow it inside, but thanks.

Had a Pepper but as good as they are, nothing beats a low center of gravity.

I would definitely recommend AGAINST trying to put a road bike inside. It's pretty tight back there. Roof racks would be your best option.

I don't think you have seen the Porsche roof rack. It completely removes when not in use. It attaches to the slots in the roof rails, present on all newer 911s.
Good luck putting the bike inside the car.

Absolutely no chance to get a regular road bike inside the TT...I'm also gonna get a rack for the summer because I want to go on a few out of town trips, then ride...

Thanks folks - How quickly does the roof rack snap into the rails - is it a 2 minute operation or 5-10 or???

Reason is sometimes I am late for a ride and need to move fast.

Yeah, I'll give it a try for you sometime, but I think there's no way I can get a road bike in my car at all.

Driving there faster IS an option. BTW, the frame is a 61cm.

Any further thoughts on how long it takes to install the carrier? (I am sure I can mount the bike quickly, but the frame is not something I want on all the time).
