It's real and pretty much consistent for all makes and models of cars, cars run stronger after the break in period, but I don think anyone has determined if there are other components involved like drivetrain clutch which are being broke in for the first time whereas many sports car manufacturers break the motors in prior to selling.

Thanks for sharing your (considerable) knowledge.
Am I reading this and the other curve that you posted correctly: The hp and torque for ECU plus exhaust are actually LESS than or similar to ECU alone at 3000 and 4000 rpm, and below 2000 rpm, actually less than stock?

No, that is actually just the way the throttle is stabed on the dyno. One I was rolling through the gear and the other I held steady. Sorry about that.
