G.I.A.C. releases new switching software for 997TT.
Hello,
G.I.A.C. has just announced that the 997TT Flashloader programs are finished.
Using the handheld dongle pictured below, you will be able to toggle between additional programs such as stock mode, race gas mode, valet mode, and kill.
The stock mode is especially nice for those trips to the dealership.
We also have a short video that demonstrates how easy this is to use.

Stay tuned because today we will be doing the 93 octane testing for G.I.A.C. We will also have race gas numbers available shortly.
If you have any questions, please send me an email, or give us a call.

That's great!
How much $$, and is it avail now?
I know you are still testing but, based on prior multi-fuel ECUs, how much of a diff does 91 v 93 v 100 octance fuel make when combined with proper program?

The car is on the dyno now. We will be running it in about an hour.

However, the stock mode is an exact mirror of the OEM stock.
If the car is in the dealer, the car will have all of the stock timing, fuel, and boost mapping...

Thanks Mike
Would be nice if you guys could make it really invisible, even if they would look hard
I guess only a clone ECU would make it undetectable to the Dealer
Looking forward to the results of the Dyno

Data Capture
The other day, while listening to a radio commentary on an unrelated topic but discussing privacy, the commentator happened to mention Porsche specifically while discussing privacy and Big Brother. The speaker claimed that Porsches have an internal computer that captures all driving data and uses it for the benefit when necessary. The example he gave was if a driver redlined the vehicle for 30 minutes, the factory would be able to see that data and void the warranty, or certainly challenge it.
Questions: 1) Is any of this true, and 2) if so, is the computer separate from the ECU, and 3) can it be disabled?

Good question, hope it is no true.
Unrelated as well I have had it a couple of times when renting a car and when returning they told me the car send a text message to their e-mail which stated the speed I had been doing and where (GPS) it was triggered at a certain speed/time combination

I take it GIAC has figured out how to get past the OBD2 encryption with their latest loader. That's great news! I'm still waiting to see if this will truly be "invisible" to the dealership.
