FVD 997TT Stage 3
#106
Finally the weathers let me do some runs with my FVD Stage III 997tt and as I promised, here is my best 60-130 mph result with US Equivalent 93 Octanes PUMP GAS. My car has intercoolers and ipd plenum besides the Stage III kit. It is around 630-640 hp now. The same setup with AWE 700 Kit, and 6speeder eclou did 60-130 in 6.99 seconds with RACE GAS. The only thing I can give credit to Eclou is the difference between manual vs tiptronic, but it is certain that race gas vs pump gas has way more difference than that.

Scott's stock Z06 runs 7.8's all day, the 07-08 Z06 will make 100K running 7.8 highway pulls. Ugly interior, but 7.8s off the factory floor w/ rock solid reliability.
You should be pleased w/ a 6.73, that is a very fast car. But where I live (Texas...the roll on capital of the Universe) that is just another car. Jean is the only person I know who has an AWE 997TT and it is a King on the road course (Jean can drive) but in the middle of the highway pack.

Patent and manufacturing issues made us choose to incorporate a t-shaped transition with our turbo kit. We made up for the small power difference in the software programming.
Another "plenum" discussion point: the 997 GT2 uses a cast aluminum t-shaped "plenum" from the factory, instead of the plastic one found on the 997TT.

997TT guru, I can only see on FVD's website a 610HP kit, so are you running 6.73s with this kit?
From your graphs It shows that shifting times on these 997TTs is fabulous, I would not assess HP by comparing directly to a 996TT since there are many parameters that would need correction (advantage with shifting times and disadvantage with taller gearing, weight, transmission losses and so many other things), but comparing vs 997TTs, your times are high up there in the ranking, the same as Acicchelli's SPI 750 and Eclou's EVT 7(?)0 HP, a couple of tenths here or there, and that is quite impressive, especially being a kit that keeps ECU boost control. Can you try a 100-300kph run?
Any comparison that includes a 0-60mph is totally meaningless to assess engine performance. 60-130 and 60-186mph are definitely better measures.
Good kit!

Someone just now pointed me to this thread since I don't visit the 997T section very often. Anyway, since the graphs haven't been verified yet, they don't mean anything. Feel free to send them to myself or Accichelli for proper verification like everyone else does.
The rest of the thread has been cleaned up. Thanks!

Type in "Protomotive" on Streetfire.net and you should be able to find my races against the M6, S65 AMG, stock C6 Z06, 10-second Kenne Belle Cobra, 181 rwhp Hayabusa and others...

But I will not send my file to you, because when the last time i did it, you selected my worst time and posted without even asking me
Even though I sent you the file to see if some other "completely different" run is valid or not. So, I do not trust your objectivity. And you do know too this 6.73 is valid, if i did not draw the graph myself in MS Paint

I think it's a fair request.

I do not know about the 750 hp kit, but it runs as fast as AWE 700

It seems everytime I post it dissapears here? Anyway congrats on the fast time which as I have posted three times now is faster than :
http://www.caranddriver.com/content/...7ve+Tested.pdf
Enzo Ferrari: 7 seconds
Carrera GT : 7.3 seconds
Mosler MT900s : 6.9 seconds
ZR1 Corvette : 8.5 seconds
Ferrari 599 GTB : 7.7 seconds
McLaren F1 : 7.2 seconds
Bugatti Veyron and Saleen S7 TT are quicker at 6 seconds and 6.1 seconds.
