FVD Stage 2 kit results

Hello Guys,

I purchased Stage 2 kit from FVD Germany for my 997 TT.

We have installed the kit yesterday and made several acceleration tests with it and i think results are quite impressive.

We have measured the times with the PERFORMANCE BOX GPS tool.

Best results so far;

0-60 km/h = 2.1 seconds
0-100 km/h = 3.6 seconds

0-200 km/h = 10.2 seconds

60-130 km/h = 3.0 seconds

0-400 meter = 11.4 seconds @ 207 km/h
0-1000 meter = 20.4 seconds (i think next time will be better, because there was traffic on this run on the highway)

Maximum acceleration G is 1.1 G

What are your opinions ?

Thanks,
Emre

Erik has a spectacular aura aboutErik has a spectacular aura about
A fast car ineed!

How much hp is the kit expected to give?

You cut about 2 secs of the original time of the 997TT, which is good.

With a RUF R Turbo (996) 550 hp we've done 0-1000 m in 21.2 secs. (Current Swedish record, so very accurate)

The RUF 550 does 0-200 km/h in about mid/high 10s.

Ruf Rt12 (650) 0-200 km/h in about 9.7 secs. (R&T)
0-60 mph: 3.15 seconds
0 - 100 mph: 6.62 seconds
0 – 124 mph: 9.7 seconds. (0 - 200 km/h)
¼ mile: 11.0 @ 134 mph (216 km/h)

Sport catted Stage 2 is said to have 555hp,

I additionally have FVD headers and i dont have cats

So i would roughly expect about 565-570hp from it..

0-60 in 2.1 sounds shady IMO...

Not even an Enzo is that fast...

Here are the links for Enzo acceleration tests;

http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t116066.html

http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/...ecs_price.html

In both tests Enzo gets 0 to 40 mile (64km/h) quicker than 2.1 seconds !
