i am loving what im seeing
besides the high horsepower, which really doesnt mean much to me ...
the use of alumium, KEVLAR, and carbon fiber is what i love
also, the 15" ceramics from the S8, and the fact that it weighs a couple hundred pounds under 3000,..... this thing must be a BLAST to drive...

From what I've seen, heard, and read this is the first publication to be released in the US from this particular press weekend a couple months back. With that said, I can assure you there are plenty more to come.

I understand your concern with the simple fact that Ruf has more RT12's on the road but I wouldn't go as far as saying that makes them a more reliable automobile.

Just like when AutoBild "tested" the LP640, they were only permitted to drive it at max 70 km/h for photos. And the oh so fast Saleen couldn't drive faster than ~280 km/h until it hit the ground with the front spolier.
I don't doubt the Sportec is an awesome car, and they have a record of delivering, but I want to see some acceleration figures from a magazine
There are 500 hp cars that are faster than they "should" be, and 900 hp cars that are slower than they "should" be.
btw, isn't the SPR1 limited to 10 cars or do I remember wrong?

German driver,
thanks for the article, much appreciated.
Do you know if the spr1 will be tested by AMS, or any of the other magazines who head to nardo for the high speed shootout?
Last year was a bit of disappointed with "only" 370kmh(i mean that in the very loosest sense, its a great figure, but i was hoping for more), when a 9ff soft top did 380...
