What looks better black or basalt black?

I was gonna do black...dealer says he likes basalt better in the sun. In pictures it looks grey to me, never seen it in person. I think metallic would be a better finish even for swirls etc, but not sure it is what I invision.

I'm not a fan of basalt but clearly it's personal preference...nothing in my opinion looks better than straight black!

Once you go black you never go back.

Black all the way.

No offense to Basalt Black owners as all 911's are beautiful

Went to visit a dealer the night before. Black and Basalt Black almost side by side. Under the parking lot lights - no question straight black looked better to me.

Someone once said that Basalt looks like black with a layer of dust on it. I like metallic blacks but Basalt to me had a brownish tinge to it in sunlight which I didn't like. I like the BMW metallic black which has a blue tinge to it. My vote is for black.

It does look very good, but the photo sucks. Go take some more high quality, in focus shots for us.
