Try disconnecting the battery, check ecu fitment and install, reconnect battery and test. I got a pasm/psm failure when i disconnected the battery, it cleared up after a couple minutes of driving.

Ok I had the same problem...
If this is a spare Ecu (2nd) you have a progblem with the sasi number (Vin). They have programmed something wrong...
Now on the other hand if it is your old Ecu I dont know what it is wrong..
Now with the error codes you have to see what it says.. When this had happened to me it had error codes P2188 P2190 which is system too rich at idle.. From then I havent found yet what is wrong in order to erase these codes..

Reading the forum I have seen that you had p2188 p2190 in your car. Last week I had p2190 after refueling. It was clear and yesterday again I had p2190.
Did you finally discovered what was the problem in your car?
I will appreciate your help.
With respect,
Antonio

Was this a new ECU that we modified, or was this ECU running in your car before it was sent in for the upgrade?

Before sending it back to Evo take your car and spare ECU (the one you want programmed) to the dealer and have them code the new ECU. THEN send it to Evo and when you get it back you'll be good to go.
Been there and ALMOST did that.
