Dension firmware updated ... 2.03

In the future, please provide a link to firmware downloads. I always have trouble finding it on Dension's website.
[edit]: I managed to find it:

This fix is pretty damn good. Still a few bugs and there are some lengthy procedures but mine is working as it should. You can pull the playlist, artist, album now and then pull all the tracks and play them as opposed to having 99 sonds to thumb through. Much much better!

Sorry atomic, will do next time. We were really crazed getting it out to some of our pro installers, and to a few customers with bugs.
Stephen: keep me posted on any other issues. This helps resolve future firmware updates.
Thanks again guys.

I haven't had any issues since switching to 2.02 .. I am going to install 2.03 in a couple hours and see how it goes. Overall .. great support from Dension and Eric on the boxes.
I just recieved two more dension units from Eric .. one for the GT3 and one for the Turbo!

Okay, I'll try to explain for you...you're not supposed to open the .rom file. Were you able to at least unzip the .zip file? Unzip the .zip file into a folder somewhere and copy the .rom file onto an USB flash chip. Take that chip and plug it into your USB port on your Dension in the car. I assume you made that accessible. Let it upgrade your firmware as explained in the instructions. You're NOT supposed to open the .rom file on your PC.

TestnDoc... Unzip the file directly to a FlashDrive pictured below. Unplug the drive from your computer, plug it into the Dension and wait about 3 min. to be sure, turn it all off, unplug the drive and you're updated.

There are two ways to check:
1. G5_B_UPD.ROM is deleted from the USB drive and GW.EES.BIN file will appear with the new software version.
2. If an iPod is connected during the update the iPod screen will light for the second time when the upgrade is completed and the new firmware version appears on the right upper corner of the screen.
