Front splitter project
#47
For installation, I re-used the existing rear hole of the lip. I then drilled 3 small holes in the bottom of the lip and used a screw and flat fastener to hold each piece to each corner of the lip. I would recommend people that aren't comfortable doing this to take it to a body shop. It should take about 5 minutes to install per side.
My plan is to have these made on a CNC router, which will leave a smoother radius edge. I'll probably buy the fasteners too and include them in the kit - that might add about $5 at most per side.

Eclou - thanks for the update!!
Are you making any pieces that will push out farther for a more pronounced appearance? Or can we just do that by mounting them farther up? I haven't taken a look at the bottom of the car yet. This weekend perhaps.
Thank you.

The piece can already do that depending on how you mount it. If wanted, people can trim the back edge and just make it flush in front like a skid plate, or push it forward for more of a splitter

I'm going to post some close-ups of how I attached the splitters. I used the following parts from Lowe's:
1) size #10 oval trim fastener in black 1" x2, 3/4" x6
2) size #10-24 speed nuts x6
I tried to buy these in bulk but Lowe's does not stock a large enough amount. Ends up about $5 in hardware total.
