Nevertheless the weight difference, I still found the TT to be pretty bouncy in the corners, and the M3CSL had incredible entry speed compared to the TT

Just my 0.02

I saw the same thing: turbo bouncing around in the corners, looked like a handful, csl smooth as silk at higher corner speed. I did not always understand the line taken by the turbo.

Makes me wonder how they ever got to 7:40 on a stock TT, either they tuned it differently or it was a one off

I can imagine why Porsche wants to differentiate between the different variations (997/997S, TT, GT3, GT2) but why not make the TT behave better handling wise since it is the only AWD besides the C4S

I would have expected better handling from the TT, and even if it would handle better it would still not take away anything from the GT2 or GT3

Very interesting. The CSL is quicker than the turbo at the Nurburing, but the turbo is quicker at Hockenhiem. I would think it would the othe way around.

That vid would be great in HD in a big screen, with the sound fixed.
Can someone tell me the trans of the csl? On the inside vid I don't see shifting.

The time for 997 Turbo is incorrect. The correct time for Porsche 997 Turbo on the ring is set by Walter Rohrl and it is 7:40.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordschleife_fastest_lap_times

BMW m3CSL is no match for a 997T or 996T even as Walter drove that at 7.48.
