A GT500 with twins would be very interesting, too. Should be able to make 800-900rwhp on 93 octane. Keep in mind, you need to drop at least 3K on the suspension to make it suitable to drive around. Let me know if u need some help with mods if u decide to get it.

IRT the GT500, who will be making the first TT setup for it? Helion?

Evolution (the guys who went 9.9 @ 141 last year on the stock blower w/ a 75 shot at 660rwhp) just finished their KB and built motor car. It made 876rwhp and 920rwtq on blower only at 24psi on a mustang dyno. http://www.evoperform.com/GT500/EVO-...ace-Car-KB.wmv
Should be solidly in the 8's @ over 150...and then they said something about spraying a 150 shot on top after they get 8's.
On the turbo side of things, a 100% stock motor 03 cobra just made 999.7rwhp through an auto with a single 88mm turbo at 33psi. http://www.modularfords.com/forums/f...7-a-89873.html

What tire could you run daily that would hook 800-900 rwhp up??

I'd run a 295/35/18 bfg drag radial with that setup.

That is some crazy ****... I know about big horsepower cars, but they're either A) full-blown drag cars or B) full-blown Porsche Can-Am cars.
Progressive boost... ah the wonders of modern technology. I guess you learn something new every day.

I noticed that non 997TT owners have taken over this thread, why not go to another forum or list to have your banter?
BTW: I've always like Mustangs and would probably be driving a GT500 if not for the terrible dealers that want to gouge you. Weakest link in the whole chain.

This is a pretty funny thread. I read 6 speed all the time but rarely post. I don't know why the original poster seemed suprised that a 550 rwhp car that traps 125 could beat a 997tt or expected an aplause from this forum. It would be like a honda guys going into a gt500 forum saying "my turbo civic smoked a gt500. turbo civic-2 gt500 0. I'm suprised the gt500 didn't do better, I race c6's all the time and they keep up better." There are too many variables. On a track a 997tt would destroy the gt500. Every review I read says the gt500 has horrible handling. Coilovers just improves the below average handling of a stock gt500. You cannot compare a heavily modded car to a stock one. A modded 997tt would destroy a gt500. I don't own either cars. I own a BMW, but this thread just humored me and I had to post.
There are much better ways to word a post if you want applause from the car owners you supposedly beat. How about...... I had a chance today to run against a 997tt. I beat him both times, but I'm not sure if it was broken in or not. Either way my car has 550 hp to the wheels, so I am not suprised. I'm sure if it was a modded 997tt it would have been a diff story. Something along those lines would have been better. If you wanted to add anything about the z06 you could have just said z06's you ran against were a little faster, I wonder how they stack up to 997tt. It seemed like z06's are faster. It is all how you word things. I would not go into a gt500 complaining about how crappy they handle if I wanted compliments on my kill. Pretty childish imo.

Last I checked it was 6spd, not 997tt.com... Don't you need to go work on your combover or something?

The kill seems perfectly plausible to me. From the few miles I drove around in my TT when it was stock, I'd say it was a 117-118 mph car (at least on CA 91 octane...). A 500GT trapping 125 MPH *should* walk away from it from a roll.
Regarding the TT matching the Z06 to 120 mph, that must be from a dead stop. I've owned both cars, and a stock Z06 would walk away from a stock TT once they're rolling. The Z is a hard car to launch.
