So it's not just Porsche dealerships doing this now? lol With the downward spiral that GM has been going through in the past decade, you'd think they'd be getting directives to do whatever it takes to put people in Chevy's. A Zo6 buyer may be a high end buyer and only a small segment of the population, but they often have wives that are potential Tahoe/Suburban owners, are business owners that need Work trucks (both light and heavy duty) not to mention, their kids first car may be a cobalt. Yep, doesn't make sense for a Chevy dealer to be arrogant or anything, oh well, they'll just continue to lose ground to the Japanese and European car makers.

I told Globalm3 not to drive the Turbo...

I am his buddy that almost got the Z06 and went for the Turbo instead. I love the sound of the V8 power however after driving several Z06's and now owning my first Turbo the entire experience is so much better with Porsche. From walking in to Boardwalk in Plano TX to driving off with the keys to my new ride it was one of the best toy buying experiences. I understand that the new Z06 has really changed the direction that Chevy is going with the Vett however when you reach the level that these cars are sold at it is about more than the car itself. One word "RESPECT" Unfortunately Chevy as a whole has not found how to refine their personal touch as Porsche has. The guys at Boardwalk as well as Globalm3 really went out of their way to make sure I got the car that was right for me and not just another sale. I think I must have driven almost every car they had before landing in the sweetest ride ever. Over all the 997 Turbo has the Z06 beat... I love it and I am happy to be a new 6speed member!

Welcome to the Porsche Family. Be thankful you didn't have to go through the two most agonizing aspects of purchasing a Porsche. Deciding on options and then waaaaaaaaaaiting for the arrival of your new baby. It's like adopting vs. the whole pregnancy thing. Again, congratulations on your new purchase, drive it in good health and be sure to RESPECT the power of this wonderful automoblile.

Kerbeck rocks - I almost bought a 96 GrandSport from them years ago, and their price was THOUSANDS cheaper than anyone else. $5K off for a Z06 might have me visiting them again sooner than expected.
