Fabspeed Exhaust- Stage 2 vs. Stage 3 (need sound clip comparison)
Hi,
I'm thinking of installing Fabspeed exhaust on my 997 Turbo and am currently contemplating between getting the ver. 2 (quiet version) or the ver. 3 exhaust. Does anyone out there has a clip of the quiet version of the Fabspeed exhaust?
I am assuming that the sound clip on the Fabspeed site is based on the regular ver. 3 exhaust correct (with various forms of with/without bypass pipes)?
It would help me a lot in my decision making process if I could compare the differences between the two (quiet vs. moderate version of the exhaust).
Thanks in advance!

I originally had the version 3 installed on mine. It's very aggressive, as loud as CG's. My wife couldn't stand it, I had Jay overnight me the version 2 to try....much better. Still aggressive. Not as loud. Both sound very good, that's the nice thing about FS, the systems are so interchangable, whole thing takes 30min, swapping the cans.
The ver2 cans are smaller/more compact with an extra bracket for easier mounting. The main difference is internally; the pipes are slotted or baffled as opposed to being smooth, with extra packing material around the tubes. It still sounds aggressive at start up/idle/WOT, just a bit more docile mid rpm band....no drone at all. Not sure of any hp/dyno comparisons. It's all good. If noise or 'drone' are a consideration at all get the version 2's.
