I also am stage 3. Just drove my Bro's E90 M5...that is a sweet ride, even in my rear view mirror. 997TT is a fast car, BMW's are nice cars, absolutely no comparison. 997S is more more similar to M5, no disrespect to BMW, but what are you smoking? Get them side by side if you want a nice picture in your rear view mirror. P car just feels slow because it does quick without the flash and noice of an M car.

My 997TT is easily 10% more powerfull at 5k miles than it was at 2k miles...just keep driving. Also remember that P Cars can and will be modified easily, M cars are already on the edge of engine explosion, cold and new or warm and broken in.

You have the right car, just don't set your expectations too high for a stock ride. Quiet and quick, classic and incomparible. Try it against a F430 and you will change your opinion, trust me. The only thing you did wrong was to get Tip based on 'posted' 0-60 times.

No disrespect intended, just love love love my 6 speed 997TT Stage 3 more than I ever imagined I could. I don't even miss my M car, and no longer dream of F Cars.

That may have been true about older model M5's but the new ones are much better at taking to mods, no where near exploding with mods.

And an M5 will eat an 997 S

The M5 will eat a 997S after 100, but up to that point it will be close. They trap about the same down the 1/4 strip. I've seen it with my own eyes, when I ran my M5 at 12.5 @ 117

With an extra gear and a better power to weight ratio there should be no doubt or question that the M5 will pull a non turbo with ease.

Don't get me wrong, the M5 is an overall faster car than the CarreraS. The S only does well from a dig. From a roll the M5 should and will walk it. The S is much lighter than the M and I've found that the S actually pulls pretty well from a dig and a hard launch.

Darren_Dallas is scared to put his M5 up against my S... I know that I have him off the line until about 50 for sure then it will be a close run up to 90 and then walk me... Im prity confident of this since the Turbo smoked him.....

everyone PM Darren.... i am actually going to drop my s off now for the TT trade
