Lights installed. They look like ****!! Passenger side has all leds a different shade of white to yellow. Was told by customer service to take a pic and send it to them to see if indeed they are defective. Guess my word isn't enough. And to make it worse I was told by customer service that the first 40 sets were not tested at Vivid, but only tested by their manufacturer because they knew we were in a hurry to get them so they wanted to get them out fast. Not a good move! Now I will have to pay the dealer to remove the bumper again to reinstall another set. Hopefully Dan will take care of it. Just a note to the other 40 out there. Hope you have better luck with yours.

I noticed the same thing too!!!! I truly hope that Dan gets this taken care of too and that the warranty covers the cost of removing and reinstalling these otherwise its bad customer service on their part!! Some are green and some are blue. Poor quality control if you ask me!!

If anyone has an issue with these please just send pictures to Rob@vividracing.com in the mean time. We are checking the product now before they ship. There have been 3-4 customers with bad led's and we are replacing them.

If anyone has questions with installation or anything else you can call me as well.

Can u post info on how to test these without going thru the $$$ of a removal and reinstallation?

Should we hook them up to the battery straight to test? What do u suggest?

Tomorrow I am going to do a walk thru on testing them.

In the future they will be tested and pictures of your actual lights will be emailed to you before we ship them. No better way to test them.

If you have questions just call me or email

What makes you guys think that he has to pay for intallation or removal of the defective parts, not to step on anybodys toes but it's your fault and the dealer that did the install for not testing the lights before they went in...

Btw I'm not affiliated in anyway or form to vivid or Dan, it's common sense guys, worst case scenario the dealer should cover the cost for not testing the lights, hope you guys can get your issues resolve...

what??? have u gone mad - dealers dont cover aftermarket parts. they dont care if the part works or not b/c its not oem.

secondly, although dan should be commended for putting this project together, lets be honest thru likely no fault of his, he has had our $ for over 3 months.

nobody expects 100% QC, but "3-4" out of the first 40 is almost 10%.

it is ABSOLUTELY reasonable for a customer to expect their product to be qc'ed prior to shipping, especially in light of the delays. i dont think anyone here would have minded waiting a few more days to ensure their product was working right. it sure beats having to pay to re and re the part plus turnaround time.

dan, to my experience has always stood by his products and i am sure he will. but to imply the installer and/or consumer is at fault is.....well.....just leave it at that

i will say though dan, that at least for dectane, when they ship out their led tails, they run the unit thru an led testing machine that provides a slightly higher current and runs thru an array of tests to ensure the leds wont also burn out prematurely.

i know u have offered a 3 year warranty on these, but this isnt a simply remove 4 screws and you are done type of matter.

nonetheless i look fwd to your proposed solutions.

I think that us being responsible for the costs of removing and reinstalling these products is insanity! Why should we cover that. I expect and hope that Dan comes through.
