FVD “BROMBACHER” Primary muffler bypass system for 2009 997/997S

Our “BROMBACHER” Primary muffler bypass system for the 2009 997/997S increases the amount of exhaust flow dramatically with its 2 1/2 inch (63.5 mm) diameter tubing. The increase in engine performance, torque and efficiency is noticed across the entire rev range. By designing a system that increases the mass and velocity of exhaust flow to this extent; we saw dramatic reduction in backpressure and thermal stress. The end result unleashes the 2009 997/997S potential for increased power, torque and responsiveness. The sound exhibits a strong, linear, firing-order dominated flat 6 Porsche sound, which is louder and more distinguished all without resonance. Our system is fully adjustable for easy installation, which reduces installation costs. In addition, our systems’ must be tested by the German independent testing agency the TUV. The TUV test’s our systems are for corrosion properties, extreme temperature reliability, material dexterity and overall performance. Not many of our competitors can claim that they meet or exceed TUV guidelines.

“BROMBACHER” Primary muffler bypass system highlights:

· 2 ˝” (63.5 mm) diameter tubing.
· T316 Stainless Steel.
· Adds up to 5% Hp and torque at the crank.
· Adjustable design for easy installation.
· Includes Quick release clamps
· $ 1,095.00

Bonerwall is infamous around these parts
Why does your bypass pipe have an extra break/section with a clamp on the lower left side (why is it not all one piece such as in the Fabspeed design?). Also, are the left and right sides isolated (ie: is that just a weld holding the two sides together?) or is there a mixing of the exhaust gases from both sides at the center of the "x" where the two sides attach? And you state that you get a 5%HP gain - that is 19HP. Are you saying that this X-pipe alone gets you a 19HP gain?

Bonerwall,

Thanks for your interest in our bypass.

Our bypass has the break so that anyone can install this piece very easily. The right and left sides are isolated to get the maximum amount of Hp and Torque out of this bypass. The 5% gain is what we initially thought we may see, once we dynoed this bypass we found that this was not the case. This post is an old post which has been updated here....
