Clearance Sale on Guard Transmission Differentials for 997

Hello,

After much deliberation and a review of our sales history we've decided we are going to drop the torque biasing differential for the 997 family of cars. This is the differential that fits the Carrera 2 and Carrera 4 using the Japanese Aisin gearbox. These will not fit GT2,GT3 or Turbo cars!. They are only for the standard Carrera variants. We will continue to offer a true plate style LSD for the guys who are racing these cars at the top levels. But we just haven't seen enough demand to warrant making these any longer and we want to clear our shelves for new products that are on their way.

Regular price on these differentials is $1895. On top of that, there is a $200 installation kit that the other manufacturer of diffs for these cars usually doesn't mention until it comes time to put it in the car. This kit consists of a carrier bearing and race, along with an assortment of shims to make sure the preload and backlash are set up properly. Because this is a clearance item we're going to include the kit with the differential and offer the whole package at 30% off of it's normal retail price. You're looking at $1450 for the differential and installation kit. I've got about 2 dozen differentials I can offer at this price and when they are gone they are gone.

Specialist installation of these parts is strongly suggested. This is not something you want to DIY and expect it to cost around $500+/- to put one of these in. If you don't have a knowledgeable mechanic you are working with already, please don't hesitate to ask for a referral.

Dealer inquiries are welcomed. We will make a better deal for a shop that wants to step up and buy multiples of these.

If there are any technical questions about how these differentials work or what they will do for you, please don't hesitate to ask. You can PM me, email me, call me, or just post questions here for all to see. I'll get back to you quickly. Thanks for looking and play safe out there.

Kind Regards,

Matt Monson

Bump for a new month. These will be on sale until they're gone. Get together with your buddies. If you order 3 or more at a time I'll knock them down even more in price.

This offer hit the magazines this last week and I am starting to move these. If you have been thinking about it and haven't acted, now would be a good time because when they are gone they are gone.

Matt, I am interested in your LSD for my 997 C2S. Would you please provide a little more info? Is this deal for LSD or TBD? I am a little mechanically retarded Would you explain the difference between LSD and TBD?

Thanks!

Hello,

I have replied to your PM. But just for clarification for others reading this, the clearance item is the Torque Biasing Differential (TBD). The LSD is a very popular product that we can't seem to keep in stock.

Also, for some details on some functional differences between an LSD and TBD take a look at my answer in this other thread from the turbo forums:
