Porsche 997/997S LED Daytime Running Lights from speedART - No Error Codes

speedART offers LED equipped daytime running lights for the Porsche 997, 997S and 997 GT3. The LED units are original equipment factory replacement lights that have been inserted with the LED lights. These LED's are constantly on as long as the vehicle is running.

The conversion is a simple process that takes approximately one hour. The removal of the front bumper is not necessary. The original parts are not required to be returned.

The speedART lights are the only lights in the industry that do not cause error codes. These are done in Germany and carrry TUV approval.

We have units in stock and ready to ship out. Click Here to order.

Real deal is cheaper

You are aware that you can get the Porsche factory 997.2 LED driving lights at $450 for the pair, plus a used 997.2 front bumper on eBay for around $400-600 dollars. That price relatively the same or less than what these lights sell for, albeit more for installation charge but the finished product is factory. It may be me but this is way too much for some aftermarket lights.

Yes, i am aware of the possibility of the face-lift upgrade. The lights we are offering is essentailly a plug and play swap for someone who wants a simple do it yourself install that can be done in less than an hour.

Nice looking lights. If I were adding led lights to a gen 1 these would high on my list. I like plug and play.

Here is a video with the operation of the lights. It shows how it runs through the various functions.

Is this actualy possible for a 997.1 without experiencing error codes or cutt/fabricating cable connections?

kind of nice, they don't look too factory though compared to the 997.2. I have to comment that the asking price seems out of whack. Not your fault though, I know the mfr sets the pricing- but REALLY???? Hard to believe that aftermarket 997.2 LED tail lights for 997.1 cost significantly less than these, and there is a lot more involved with making the conversion tail lights.

Yeah, I wish we could offer them for less. The units themselves are factory Porsche parts that have their cost but its the labor to take them apart to install the LED's, rewire them and seal them back together that adds up. Its all manual labor at a shop rate. Most dealerships are a hundred plus an hour and it takes a few hours to do correctly.

The 997 Turbos are taking 4 weeks to turn around. Honestly, now that the cars are getting older, its hard to find a pristine set of cores anymore so the exchange isnt workign the way it used to. The ones we have been receiving are not in "like-new" condition so we have been suggesting to buy a set from a Porsche dismantler or form the dealership and have us ship them over.

They look nice and clean. But holy cow...the cost is $2.5K+ for bumper LEDs?

I could see $550 to $800 but $2.5K+ is
