opinion on emblems
I was considering the 911 emblems from suncoast. I wanted something alittle different then the std. carrera S emblem in the back. On a midnight blue car a black emblem wouldnt be enough contrast right? So can I but the black one and spray it silver/chrome/titanium/red? I dont think I would be willing to pay 150 for a chrome one when I can spray a black one chrome for 25 dollars.
And the second question is, would using the S be silling with the "911"?
Here's what i'm thinking, "911 S" in silver or chrome
thanks

Talk to Eric at Bumperplugs (site sponsor)

I got some emblems from him when mine were stolen and the paint match was perfect. Don't spray paint it; if you care enough about the emblem to consider changing it, just do it right and get it professionally done. It's hard to say what color would look good. I would avoid anything loud in color against Midnight Blue (i.e. red).

I removed the titanium Carrera S logo from my '07 Slate cab and after a couple weeks decided I wanted the emblem on the car. I had Eric (Bumper Plugs) paint me the emblem in Slate and I really like it.

I would think spraying it with a can of krylon would be just as good. THe emblems are plastic and 1 or 2 soft coats of paint should make it look like the chrome ones they sell at suncoast. I would rather keep my titanium carrera S emblem on before I pay 150 for a plastic chrome 911 emblem.
I guess color wise the titanium, silver, chrome would look the best with my midnight blue.
How about the "S" being red, tacky?
Maybe just a red S on the back.. lol
