Turbo Wheels with 305/30-19 tires on C2S

A post on this Forum shows the Carrera Sport wheel with 305/30-19 tires on a new C2S, so I re-checked the Porsche on-line configurator which confirmed that the Turbo wheel option is also suppose to come with 305's. I was concerned enough to run back to the dealer (actually I drove) to find out why my '08 C2S w/Turbo wheels only had 295's. I was told that 305 tires are only put on the C4S, and that they wouldn't fit on the narrower C2S (so even though you still pay $890 for the Turbo wheel option, you only get the regular 295 tires).
Now I'm really concerned, and will be very upset if I find out I was supposed to have the larger tires on my car.
My next step is to contact PCNA, and try to get an accurate answer.
Are there any Forum Members out there who might be knowledgeable about this tire issue? Thanks!

Narrowbody cars run 295/30/19 (except for GT3) .. I would just stick with the 295s.

305's

You might also try calling the boys at Wheel Enhancements in SoCal (LA). They could tell you for sure.

305's will fit no problem on the Turbo wheels on a narrowbody. The issue is the offset of the widebody turbo wheels.

I believe there are actually two versions of the Turbo wheels - if you order them as an option on a C2 they should come with the correct narrowbody offsets. His question was whether or not the wheels should have come with 305's mounted and not 295's - again I think the option for the C2 includes 295's not 305's. As already stated the 305's will fit as long as you have the narrow body offset.

Turbo Wheels with 305 Tires - C2S

Thanks for the responses, but actually, what I'm concerned about is that my car was supposed to be delivered with Turbo Wheels and 305 tires, according to the description of the Option (404). It has Turbo wheels and 295's. I was looking for information as to why this might have occurred, and what I should do about it, if anything.
Any valid suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My Carrera Sport 19s came with 295s and when I changed the tires I put 305s on. Fits perfectly on my lowered C2 with no rubbing at all.

Ahh, I understand...then no you won't get the 305's. You only get the 305's regardless of wheels with a widebody car..ie: Turbo, GT3 RS, C4 and C4S. If you order the turbo wheels on a narrow body car you get the 295's. However, 305's will fit without any issues on a narrow body car with narrow body offset wheels.

Oh and thanks Neil..

Is it a different offset or do they do it with spacers?? I heard conflicting things..

That's what I thought also, and was happy, until I read the post on this site entitled "My 2008 Carrera S Has Arrived." Please take a look at the post, and then let me know what you think. Thanks!

I don't know for sure but spacers would only work if the offsets were desigined for narrowbody then you could use spacers to "push" the wheel out - e.g., you couldn't use spacers to make a tt wheel (designed for the widebody) to fit a narrowbody. Where in PDR are you - my mother-in-law lives right off the lagoon.

Don't need spacers the tires (305's) stick out enough on a C2 body.

997 Narrow bodied cars equiped with 19" wheels have 295/30 19 tires in the rear except when you order the car with Carrera Sport wheels (8.5x19 front and 11.5x19 rear). With Carrera Sport wheels installed narrow body 997 cars have 305/30 19 tires.
