Hi,

I am new to the forum. I have been reading the site for a long time now, but this is my first post. I have recently purchased a white c2 cabriolet which has a number of techart modifications. I have not seen any discussion about the type 2 techart front bumper. I currently have the techart lip. I was contemplating upgrading to this bumper with the xenon fog lights. What do you guys think? I have seen pics on the techart site, does anyone have this bumper on their 997 or have personal pics or opinions. Thank you.

I did consider buying that TechArt type 2 bumper but after comparing it with the rinspeed i feel that TechArt type 2 bumper looks much better on Cayman rather than 997. Moreover, that bumper is really too low for me to drive up to my driveway. As far as i know nobody here in the forum has that bumper, if you really like it GO FOR IT! I'd say that bumper will look HOT on your WHITE 997.

Your car looks great with the lip, do not put that bumper its just plain ugly

 

gt3 rs bumper is the way to go.the type 2 does look like it belongs on a cayman

i live in miami and the one shop that carries that bumper is CEC. however, they do not have a showcar to display it and they want close to $7k installed. This seems very expensive... is there better pricing and a reputable shop in this area or do i have to bite the bullet.

 

Considering the retail for that bumper is about $4,300 (am i right?), $7k installed does seems very expensive. You may consider buying the bumper from one of the sponsors here and install it at another reputable bodyshop, i'm sure there are many Miami 6speeders that can help you here.

 

Buy it from absolute motoring if u must have it. There are much nicer bumpers out there though. By the way CEC is a rip off
