Stock 997 C2S vrs F430 (no video)
For my cousin's birthday we rented a F430 from a private owner for the weekend. Today we all went for a drive which included my uncles CGT, my C2S, and the cousin who was renting the F430 let his little bro drive His 997 GT3...Consistently through the day the 997 GT3 blew the F430's doors off which really suprised me being that the 430 had 485hp compared to 415hp in the GT3. My next suprise was that my C2S was dead even with it racing in a straight line with a 40MPH roll all the way to 120MPH. How is this possible i fell in love with my car more today. Im supposed to have 130hp less???

The guy that rented it out must have been a good friend of my uncle cause it was only 1k/day no mile limit. Ill try to get the info on this guy, and if he even deals with people he doesnt know.
I know i wish i did get footage i just really never thought id keep up like that. They usually rent cars for their birthdays so next time ill get the camera ready

There must have been something wrong with the F430. The F430 runs dead even with a 996 GT2 which I know from first hand experience(racing many times with a neighbor who had a slightly modified GT2). The 997 GT3 perhaps coming out ahead against the F430 on twisty roads is more plausible.
The only way a C2S could keep up with an F430 is if dmoney was driving it!

No way im thinking a veyron!!.. I dont race, im 23 and insurance is a killer so i drive like a saint on the street. Another reason not to race is my c2s isnt a light to light dragster, and it takes no skill or pleasure beating someone by pointing in one direction and giving it gas. The real insult is when i crush you on the turns at the track cause it means im better than you. Its not as much about the arrow as it is the Indian

I own a 997S. My BIL owns both 997 GT3 and an F430. I have driven both of those in addition to my 997S lots of miles. There is no way they keep up with an F430 unless there is something wrong with the F430. My C2S will keep up to some degree with the GT3 though he still wins out. The GT3 can keep up okay with the F430 but not dead even. No way. Something was wrong with the car or driver. Too much HP and torque differential. Not to mention the F1 shifts.

Your right cause paddle-shifting takes an immense amount of skill to learn.
