Powder Coat Vrs Paint???

I have these wheels on my car, but wanted to get them in black. Some place quoted two different prices one for powdercoat, and the other for painted. Does anyone know whats best?

Many threads on this subject -- try a search for more detail than I'm going to give... Generally, you do not want to ever powdercoat. They bake the wheels, which weakens them.

You can paint them with the more durable ceramic paint. Regular paint is def not advisable for the wheels unless it is a delicate show car.

i have had wheels painted, and more recently powdercoated. it really depends on the color, if you are just looking to do a regular black, then powdercoating is a good choice.
if you are concerned about microcracks from the high temp, or having to repair a curbed wheel, then just paint it with a good bodyshop... i see alot of people mentioning problems with chipping or peeling paint but i had none of those...
