Guys I will be going out of town, wife will be home. Should I tell her to go out and let the car run for 15 minutes every 3 days? Is this neccessary? I know with my Mercedes' they wont start after a few days... I know Mercedes blow ***** and dont compare..

thanks in advance

I would buy a trickle charger for the battery, if not then disconnect the neg battery cable and go thru the headache of reseting the windows, radio code, E-throttle etc. Trickle charger would be the way to go as the cars draw up to an allowable 33ma for the keep alive memory and alarm system. Thats enough to drop it under 9.6v in 2 weeks if not started.

Guess I lucked out then. Mine sat for two weeks this summer and cranked right up when I got back.

i dont think it's necessary; it's only 2 weeks. (do you need to take care of turbocharged cars differently than NA cars when you dont use it for a long time?)

Mine TT went unused for over a month with no problem. My SL will also go over a month because it has 2 batteries. The "comsumers" battery in the trunk goes down then. Consumers stay offline till second batt gets charged.

Two weeks is fine-just let it sit. There is no need/reason to start or charge the car.

battery charge state as well as alternator output all play a factor, good battery and a proper working charging system and 2 weeks should be good- but I think we all can agree that when it comes to top notch charging & electrical systems -porsche has far from. Just trying to save you from that awful click-click-click.

Get a CGT charger plug it in the lighter socket and leave on you shouldn't have any problem even after a month or 2

Yea, you shouldn't have any problems just parking it and leaving, but starting it up in the middle for a short bit wouldn't hurt either.
