I sold a Land Cruiser to a person in Canada and the procedure was exactly the same as selling your car to someone here. You should ask for a wire transfer only. The trucking company will come to your house and pick it up. The trucking company that picked up my truck was from Canada and handled the whole crossing the boarder procedure. I really couldnt even tell that it was going to Canada other than it took 3 weeks for the buyer to get the truck I sold him. You should do not have to pay any taxes or any fees whatsoever.

I don't know about the taxes, but I have heard of some scams involving buyers in Canada. If this is through a dealer shouldn't be an issue just be careful.

We have sold cars to Canada before. You have to have the title in hand or else they can not cross the boarder. The daytime running lights also have to be turned on.
