^^^ I'm with you, Jay. There are a ton of cool cars out there that can't outrun our C2S's.
Daryl and I were right there with you - before the 115K price became official.
The interior and exterior are sooooo beautiful. I know my wife would rather roll in the AMV8 - she's said as much.

The 997S is indeed a great car, but I am still not used to the rear engine as pointed out earlier. I am used to driver a front engine rear drive and the car behaves much differently...some driving courses are in order for next year.

It's a beautiful car. And even here in S. Orange County it's still very rare (where as P cars are actually quite common) but it just wasn't my cup of tea.

How is the auto-x at El Toro? I went a few years ago with SCCA and it tore up the tires with rough concrete surface. Is it on asphalt now?
Love the NSX - They are so much more rare than Porsches around here, would def want to see if at the next meet.

This little trick has worked for me in the past as it relates to negotiating even an ordered car. Go to the dealership near closing, ask a ton of questions and spin the guys around for 3hrs+ bating them into one scenario at the next (financed, cash, etc.), then tell them you want the delivery car at the last minute at invoice + 5%. It's fair and they won't want to walk away b/c they have invested a lot of time already and to them, it's a no-inventory holding scenario w/ guaranteed return on their money. They will be vested as based on time as there needs to be at least three folks at the dealership waiting for you to finish the deal, the sales guy, the finance guy (irrespective if you finance it they have to run your credit to pay cash) and the GM to approve the sale. This has worked for me 2 times w/ mercedes and porsche. The dealerships deserve to make a margin but not too much! You could have walked into any dealership afterall and paid MSRP.
