aparker56 is infamous around these parts
Has anyone tried oxygenated fuels. It is my understanding that the lowest octane that a motor will run on without pinging will yield the highest horsepower on a dyno. I have always run VP ultimate 4 oxygenated fuel in my race bikes with the biggest gains and I believe it is only 92 octane. It totally outperforms any high octane race fuel I have ever tried.

Oxygenated fuels have ethanol as the oxigenating ingredient - used to be MTBE. Most, if not all, commercial pump gas has some % of ethanol as part of the blend.

My mileage is much worse with race gas blend......

My mileage is much worse with race gas blend......because I cant keep my foot off the accelerator - car is so much more punchy and responsive.

Just inside the exhaust tips, I have a beautiful honey brown color.

Wept a tear of joy over the whole thing this morning.

Cheers

Sorry man, not on the boards that much anymore...you can come up to Playa to Playa Vista 76 on Lincoln just north of Manchester Blvd. It's on the east side of Lincoln. They sell 105 F&L unleaded race gas it is expensive at $10.50 a gallon but you don't have to blend as much in. Also there is another 76 station on Pico and Barrington that sells VP 100 out of the pump for $8.50 per gallon. With the F&L you only need 2.5 gallons to get to 93 octane.
