Will the CD player in the PCM console of a 2008 997 play AAC music files ripped to a CD?

 

No, PCM can only read .wav or mp3 format files.

 

if you're trying to burn a data cd from your iTunes files, you can go to the iTunes settings and import as MP3 instead of AAC. It won't do anything for your current music, but your future music will be compatible.

i found out after 10+gb of songs imported...

 

Just get a mobridge and put your ipod in. Works good.

I got a Denison Gateway 500 which is a great iPod interface into PCM. Much less annoying than burning CDs. Even with all MP3s I found the burned-CD solution to be quite lacking. The PCM would choke on any songs with really long names, or names with weird characters in them.

i went the mobridge route here think the gateway 500 is similar as well. Can't go wrong with having all your mp3s in the car compare to burning Cd's of mp3
