Shame on you. Picking on rustangs and RX8's

Although that one mustang was damn fast on the straights.

What kind of top speeds to you get out there?

Looks like funny but I'm too much of ***** to take my car on the track.

That Mustang was an $80k Roush that was stroked and blown and even had fully independent suspension. I hit 158 and 153 on the two big straights whenever I get them just right. It's a fast track. The video doesn't really show that.

I've been considering trading "up" to a 997 TT, but it would be much less expensive to install an sc in my daily driver 06 997C2S.

Do you have any reaction/advice? Have you experienced the 997TT vs your sc'd unit?

Thanks!

Louisville,

Nice garage. I would have to say that, when you take in consideration the 'wasted' money on the SC when it comes time to trade in or sell compared to the depreciation rate of every dollar put into a Turbo, it's not that much less expensive. Just wanted you to be sure to see it that way. As for a car 'choice' reaction, it looks as though you would use it for a daily driver, right? You also already have a rapid fast but less involving (which is only relative here, Murcs are awesome and so are Turbos) all wheel drive car. So, I don't know how aggressively you drive, but if it were me, I'd want my other car to be very different from my Lambo, and the Turbo isn't (again, relative to any other 911 you can buy). If it were ME, I'd go GT3, MAYBE. I have just spent SO much money on my S making it right. I probably would have been better off starting with a GT3 and going from there with all the other stuff. But again, if that's the case, look 997 GT2. That's incredible, and essentially what I set out to try to build. I think you should look into an article out in this month's EVO (British car mag - it's awesome - out at Barnes & Noble, etc). It compares what they REALLY think when driving the GT3, Turbo, and GT2 all back to back to back. GT3 won. They have good reasons why. Turbos are fast, but not as involving. That's what I think, brother. I hope it helps!

I appreciate the feedback.

The GT3 is awesome, but it is a little over top on styling for a daily driver, IMO.

The Murcie is a lot fun and quite different from the C2S. Good point!

I just like... love max power when I decide I need/ want it. I like the subtleness of the C2S for a daily driver and thought an SC might fill my DD power void.

Thanks for your input.

Dave
