IIRC the OEM spacers are 5mm and 17mm. Correct me if I'm wrong. I have 5mm and 15mm and I think they're just right. The 7mm would allow the fronts to be more flushed with the fenders, and depending on the tires of your choosing, it may make the tire bulge beyond the fenders, IMO.

I have an 08 C4S with stock 19" Carrera Classic wheels shod with 235 and 305 Michelin Pilot Sport tires. I installed Porsche's OEM 5mm spacers and bolts in front and H&R 7mm spacers and bolts in the rear. It appears H&R manufactures the bolts for Porsche because they look identical. This spacer combination places both front and rear tires just shy of being flush with the edge of the fender. I also had the same set-up with my 05 C2 with the same great results.

Remember to always use longer wheel bolts!

Good Luck!

When using longer wheel bolts, it is important that the proper torque be applied during installation and maintained in daily use. Loose wheel bolts are subjected to stresses they are not intended to carry and longer bolts are more highly stressed by these loads. Fatigue driven failures(cracked bolts) can result.

The size of your spacers will depend on the offset of your wheels, so there is no one-size-fits-all answer.

For Example: The 997TT wheels are now available for the Cayman, 997, 997c4, and 997TT, all in 19 inch. They may each have a distinct offset. Until you know the offset you can't know what size spacers you need.

One more thing: the tire can be fender-flush. It won't rub because of the camber.

In terms of being able to feel a difference, no one, not even Walther Rohl would be able to discern the difference between the same car with vs. without spacers unless they were ridiculous, aka: tires sticking out like a low-rider pick-up.
