DYNO Chart Request: 997S and X51

With all the recent threads regarding the plenum and how it makes 20-27hp on the 3.8, I was curious how the +27hp compare to the X51's +26hp.

Can someone please post a stock X51 dyno, a stock 3.8 dyno, and an Plenum dyno. I would love to see how all three overlay with each other.

thanks ! I tried searching for a stock X51 dyno and a stock 3.8 dyno.

There is NO WAY that little piece of aluminum plenum for $900 out performs the extra work Porsche puts into the X51 package.

I agree. It would be pretty devastating to find out I could've had the same performance from a $900 bolt-on and saved $15,000+ !

AWE has some dynos on their page http://www.awe-tuning.com/pages/info...cfm?content=38

As I'm sure you know, it's hard to compare dyno numbers, but the comparison should still be interesting.

Kevin, just get the plenum and run a X51.

i would, but i'd need to find an X51 to run me, and somehow factor in that i have Gemballa headers, cats and cans.

i dont' see a plenum dyno? am i blind?

You might start by "running" a stock 997 Gerry

So what's the verdict here? Does the plenum match up to the performance gains of the x51 kit?
