Valentine 1 for sale
Actually I have 2 of them. Got the new Bel for Christmas. Purchased one in 03/05, I will take $300 shipped and the next one which has pop was purchased in 05/06 $325 shipped. Both work well and I have original boxes and papers. Thanks.

Detectors
I prefer the V1 on the highway (open road)
and the Passport 9500i for in town.
The V1 has to many false alarms in the city.
I tested the 2 side by side and there was no difference in range for detection. The V1 arrows and the # of bogies are a plus++

On the V1 just turn x-band off and use K-band auto mute and it works fine in town also. If you want true situational awareess the arrows are the only way to go.
I tried the 9500 for a while and did not like the limitations.
Although it would block a known selected k-band it blocked a wide spectrum and not just the actual specific frequency. It does so because radar frequencies fluctuate a little up and down the band. (Drift) Potentially an LEO could hide in the same area and be blocked.
The other thing I did not like was that the circular area that was bocked could not be identified. So escentially a k-band grocery store opener that was blocked could also be blocking a real threat signal a block away, or more.
There was also a bad ramp up alert problem but I think they may have fixed that by now.
Good luck though.

Oh, one last thing. Never test two units side by side. They will interfere with each other and limit the true detection range.
One option is to test against a stationary source at max range. Turn one detector off and then turn the other on and see if it also detects the source.
