Roadblock Clear Bra vs Ventureshield
Anyone have any information re Roadblock (which is distributed by Autobahnd and uses a film called Hartz) compared to Ventureshield? I know a lot of guys here are using the latter but I heard Roadblock is pretty good also and covers more area with more quality, ie less yellowing, better "orange-peel" effect which simulates the car's actual paint, etc....Need to put something on my car soon so any recommendations on where to go (in or around Chicago) will be apreciated as well!!! Thanks!!!

The whole 3M film thing is a commodity. just make sure you get a good installer/service/warranty. ventureshield uses a material that is less orange peelish than 3m not that it makes the latter product any more inferior to the former.

another thing you should also check out after your install is how the clear bra looks when your wearing a pair of polarized sun glasses. during the install, if there is too much stretching or heating of any area.. it will show through polarized sunglasses but not with the naked eye. is this a big deal? yes.. because others driving around and people at car meets will see it on your car. it will look like black haze. you can see it alot more on lighter color cars vs dark cars.. but its very visible.

I have Ventureshield on my 997 and am personally very satisfied with it, as I am sure most others are with theirs. Roadblock may be decent product, but why would you want to risk using an unproven product?
Further, the past two Pcar dealerships (Herb Chambers, Town Motors) I've been too both install Ventureshield only.
If you take a look at Roadblock's website, it says they are essentially a local 3M installer based in Virginia, I dont see any mention of a "hartz" product, and i've never heard of it.
There are 5 "certified" Ventureshield dealers in VA per their website, I think you should speak to one first..
