Cool

I had them on my previous car and they were OK....not great but not bad.

I hated them until they were about 1/2 worn out, and then they started sticking pretty well.

The sidewall could be stiffer as I felt some roll in hard cornering. Price is excellent and size selection is good.

I had them on my 04 M3 in 255/35/19 fronts and 285/30/19 rears on RG4 wheels. They were a little squirrly at first but once they were heat cycled a few times they were actually a pretty good tire for the money. Sidewall was a little to soft but the ride was pretty good though. The first 500 miles the tires felt greasy as the residue on the surface of the tire due to the mold had to be heat cycled out of the tire, once that was done they stuck pretty darn good.

I think their dry grip was great and the wet grip was average. Very good tire for the price, but not available in 997 c2s sizes. I also had them on my 05 M3.

My sincere thank you to each of you who took the time to respond. I've decided to go with the Techart Formula II and the Toyo T1R combination. I'll post pics when the deed is done.

On the same general topic, has anyone tried the R888 (The T1R's replacement)?

They come in 997S sizes too.

Sorry, I'm thinking of the RA-1s, not T1Rs. My mistake.

For 19" they have 235's but no 295's, in the 18" size they have them. If you want to go with a 315/25/19 you could go that route, but that tire is almost a full inch shorter than a 305 and over .75" shorter than a 295.

Here is the link of the sizes..http://marktg.toyotires.com/file/18966.pdf
