Thinking of reverting to the stock lobster forks...

The more I look at the stock wheels, the more I like their simple, elegant design. I think they suit the car very well and my LMs look too "busy."

I originally bought the LMs as I needed a second set of wheels for winter driving but no longer need them as I have a daily driver.

What do you think?

the LMs look way too busy.
I can't imagine why you bought them in the first place. :-)
I think you should pay someone to take them off ur hands.

I say get a set of different aftermarket wheels if you no longer like the look of the LM. I'm sure you could sell the LM for close to what you paid for them in the first place.

Your stock wheels look great!. I agree...the Carrera S wheels are a much cleaner, sleeker look. I don't like heavily spoked wheels...way to busy...

I have a 987 S on order due to arrive next month with Carrera S wheels too... definitely love them...but was thinking about maybe powder coating. Have you thought of that?

It's been impossible to find anyone with pics on colored Carrera S wheels (other than black!)...

I have a Meteor Gray coming and have been thinking about maybe graphite or gunmetal looking wheels along with matching exhaust tips.

whats your thoughts?

I am one of the few who like the lobster forks - but I *really* like the LM's.

Can't really go wrong either way. I think the OEM's painted body color + spacers would look pretty cool.

Congrats on the MS3. My brother has one for his daily and it's a lot of fun.

I couldn't agree more.

While I like the OEM "lobster forks" quite a bit, I've always loved the look of the BBS wheel. It's classic, timeless and beautiful... just like the 911.

I've actually thought of having the centers of the LMs painted gunmetal like this:

I also think I've simply looked at them for too long. You know how any car gets bland if you spend too much time staring at it?

can't stand to see a fellow p-car enthusiast suffer. I agree with the second reply, you should give them away . I would keep the stocks on for now and when it gets boring, just put the LMs back on. It'll be great.

May I suggest HRE C21. I'm biased though.

They look great but are too similar in my opinion in that they are a 3-piece wheel with a stepped, polished lip.

Go with some RUFs

May I suggest 19 RUF wheels....Nice classic look, not OEM but fit a porsche well aesthetically IMO.... OK a bit heavy but besides that look amazing.... just my 2 cents.
