Thanks to Simon at AutoTalent for the OEM GT3 rear bumper, and to FVD for hooking me up with an OEM front GT3 that was in stock. Also got the rear aerokit decklid/wing, and switched out the black HRE c20's for HRE 540's.

like going sideways huh.. your car is hot..

Here's a video clip of the car starting up. It's too loud for the camera's mic so it really isn't a great portrayal of its true sound, just a vague idea. You can even hear me scraping the extremely low bumper lol

The exhaust is a custom muffler bypass routed from the stock cats, mated with Borla headers.

No muffler. OEM Gt3 exhaust won't fit. There are 2 other options from FVD and Cargraphic that aren't that loud, but those are north of $3,000.00

Ok first impression .Interesting car . You nailed it with the bumper and wing . What size are the wheels ? I can't tell on the base 997 car photo. The exhaust --I do believe that you have eliminated a lot of backpressure . How's the cabin noise level ? daily driver ?

Overall -- I feel its a beautiful car and a very creative effort . I wish you the best.

Thanks for your comments, means a lot since you have good taste shown by your own personal car.

Wheels are 19x8.5, 19x11. With the bypass, I did lose lower end torque that I hope to regain by adding a plenum in the future. I noticed though that it pulls like mad as soon as it hits a certain spot in the high RPM range. Cabin noise level is still fair, but it drones on the freeway at speeds over 90 mph while at 4k rpm. I only drive the car on the weekends which makes it bearable for me. If it was my daily driver I know for sure I wouldn't have done the bypass due to my mild taste, I can't even stand listening to sound systems loud heavy bass. However, since its my weekend car, I wanted something a little more wild to let loose and have fun with.

thanks man, the fabspeed bypass may sound different. Keep in mind that I do have Borla headers which may have changed the tone a bit, but the volume should be about the same. I really love driving it on the weekends because it's such an added experience with the amp'd up pure engine sound.

The greatest part about tuning a car is the learning which comes with the fun. I found that resonance can be avoided by selecting another gear . If you end up wanting to drive the car more the Cargraphic mufflers would baffle the noise level if you added them. I hear ya on the price . I am talkling up 40K worth of "out the door" mod cost on my Turbo and I'm not even done yet but waiting a bit (wheels, suspension, Techart, installation, tax) . I do recommend saving all stock parts just in case you ever sell the car and take the mods into another car , or sell them separately .

In the meantime --have fun . Every day of ownership provides memories in the making.
