Towed the car to my local dealership and they said the wires and poles connecting to the battery were bad so are replacing it all with new ones per the warranty. They claim the battery is in good condition and was not the problem. Going to pick up the car in a couple days and hopefully no more issues going forward.

Just for the record, if it was a battery issue, I think it would ONLY be FAIR that the dealership replace it given they just ran a 20k mile check and said car is in great condition and also I've only had it for 1 month! But of course it's in my (and other p-car owners') interest for me to say that...

Great news --It looks like it all worked out for you. I never faced a problem with the connecting materials and had not even thought of it .
