Just ordered some X-51 parts
I just got off the phone with sunset and ordered X-51 Cf airbox, T-body, and plenum. Now all is left to do is install them once they come.
Im pretty sure the T-body and Plenum wont be to tough since ive installed a plenum on my car before which took way under a hour and the T- body is right there, but the airbox im not to sure about, aswell as cutting an extra outlet.
I just might try to find a shop to do it for me to avoid the hassle, anyone have any experience installing any of these parts them selves or had a shop do it. approx amount of hours of labor? difficulty? any input would be much appreciated. thanks

The hole and and putting in the new oil filler tube are definitely a PITA.
The cut out guide you get from Sunset or the TSB is not exactly the correct size. Look at the measurements and double check. I had to enlarge mine to 102% to get the dimensions accurate.
I tried to to cut the hole a little smaller which was a mistake I should have followed the inside of the template.
I removed the Plenum and the Alternator to get the Oil Filler tube in. The trick here is to back out the Main support Bolt about 1/8" then tap on it with a hammer. The nut on the other end of the bolt is actually a sliding bushing too.
The other issue start with the spoiler in the up position. Remove the spoiler. 4 bolts behind the little black caps that surround the brake light. The spoiler then slides off.
Order the tube from Boost controller that have specified in the past to use as an adapter for the X-51 Air tube to the Stock TB.
Here it is again;
ASCSH2-325BK 1 Sil. Str. Hose 2"L 3.25 ID Black
Get some touch up paint and the right primer to touch up where you cut the hole and prevent corrosion.
I have your e-mail so I will send you several pictures.

sound good I'm sure you gonna like the X51 intake more than the fabspeed one. If you end up doin the installation by yourself plz take some pic's if you can.

Cutting the hole and painting etc was the most time consuming. 6-8 Hours total. I didn't pick up on the fact in my first post that you are doing the whole X-51 intake.
That will take longer than just changing the plenum. You have to change the runners to the head too.

I was told by sunset that i might not have to change the manifolds.. Lets just say i need to, would the airbox and just the T-body be ok. with stock plenum and manifolds?

Be patient wait for the dyno results.
I have heard of cars with Cats, Headers, X-51 Air box and intake, and software in the 400 Plus range but this is not confirmed. I wouldn't doubt that mine is near 400 in its current form but I have not put it on a dyno.

x 51 TB will not work with the non x51 plenum or the rss plenum. You will need to make the conversion somewhere or add the x51 intake manifolds. Or some type of adapter.
