nice setup just wondering if the aero decklid was ever made to accomodate the x51 package from the factory.

Only if you order the areo kit and the X-51 on a 997 from the factory.

The gruppe m is def a looker, but I doubt it is as good as the x51. The gruppe m for the e46 M3 made zero power.

I do not think there is any difference in the sound, which I am surprised at because the hemholtz resonator was taken off.

Thanks, I was thinking that too because I did a little experiment and taped off the hemholtz rez and noticed no real difference in sound.

The modification of the deck lid is part of the X-51 installation. The factory instructions provide a template for cutting. It is available on the RennTech.org site.
