Painted Calipers and 18" Rims...Was Porsche The First?
Was Porsche the first automobile company to paint a normal production car's brake calipers red (as standard equipment)?...Thinking the '94 Turbo 3.6 might have started it all.

Was this on a stock regular production Civic?...it would also have to be before CY 1993 to beat 94 Porsche. I'm also wondering if the MY 92 turbo S had painted calipers (maybe yellow?)

I also think that the turbo 3.6 might have been the first regular production car to come with 18's as standard equipment...those 18" speedline rims still look nice even today

I still remember the day in 1994 driving my 1991 turbo to the local dealership and seeing the 3.6 turbo with the 18's and the painted callipers. I still love the look of the 'big reds' to this day.
