Some here will argue this will not be a "huge" improvement. But if it's 385 hp with the new stripped + LED tail and front, plus the PDK along with all the other goodies then I'd say the improvements are excellent and I WANT ONE . I can't wait to find out if there will still be an X51 package AND if the rumor is true all 997's will be widebody's!

I did not see any mention of the PowerKit ... also the red reflector strip is on the 4's (all wheel drive) only ...i wonder if the new upgraded key won't unintentionally open the trunk when bumped

So any guesses regarding performance for the Carrera and Carrera S? PDK vs Manual?
Given that the Sport Chrono PDK function features "Launch control, race-track gearshift strategy, and Sport Plus" it looks like Porsche has yet again made the automatic version faster, and at an additional cost (see tiptronic 997TT for details)!
There are a few more options I'm curious about: Ventilated seats? Limited slip diff on a PASM tuned sport suspension (In Europe for the 997 mkI, you could either buy standard, PASM, -20mm sports suspension)? TV tuner? I'm sure this isn't part of the weight savings options...
I'm excited to read about the new details, but unless this thing smokes the competition with its 345hp and 385hp, I'll be sticking with my 997S mkI. But damn that Porsche marketing! The facelift is already starting to grow on me, and I haven't even seen the car in person yet !
