My '08 4S PSE with 200 cell cats installed; video

I installed 200 cell cats on my 4S that I got from Alex. Thanks in part to Ian_UK for the extra nudge to push me over the fence… My car has the factory PSE, and I have to say, I couldn’t be happier with the new sound. The video really doesn’t do much justice; it really does sound like a cup car at ALMS.

The only complaint I have with the PSE part of the exhaust; when the revs punch through at WOT, it pushes the flaps open in the muffler, and goes “quiet” again after about 4K… I was wondering if I did the “wire unplug repair” to keep the valves shut all the time, if that would work… I do like the switch though… let me know what you think

Add a set of aftermarket Headers and it will sound even meaner!

Sounds great. Just unplug the wire. You probably won't use the switch much. Sound too good to be switching it off anyway. And besides, you can always add a switch.

I love it. Trying not to go too mod crazy but 200 cell cats are definitely on my list.

Ian_UK suggested disconnecting the neg battery terminal for 4 hours, which I did... when I did go to start the car, yes, it looked like I had just started WW3 on my dash. I just drove about ten feet and it all went away.

After a bit more research on here this morning, I can see why I get the cut out's at certain RPM's; as most of you probably already know, all I have to do is either unplug the orange plug in the engine bay, or wire a switch for the cutoff. I'm on my way to buy a switch for the ashtray
