Unbelievable Experience at a Dealer Today
#61
It seems to me that 90% of the people who replied just couldnt wait to bash another dealer.(typical forum)Im gonna have to side with the salesman on this one. From what I read this so called "customer" really is nothing more than a Jack. Why the hell is it the dealers fault for refusing buisness from a guy who has done nothing but waste their time? They have seemingly already put up with this jack more than 20 times. All it seems he was ever after was a reason to arm himself with a keyboard and a mouse and bash a dealer, I have bought from NPB and have had nothing but great experiences. All in all,it sounds to me the dealer did the right thing. My 2 cents.

not allowing the test drive was one thing; the 2 new threads by the salesman with the only intent to throw mud at the customer was unexcusable!
@mrenn you seem to be happy with the dealership... and I'm glad not everyone on this forum had a bad experience with them... but that doesn't make any difference for those who did!!!!! 1+1=?

He bought a BoxsterS from them and continues to do business with them by having his 997 serviced there. What part of that makes him a "so called customer"?
OP explained that he'd been there a small handful of times (we all have) and master speller came back and said it was way more, and that the Boxster purchase was so old and that HE (the OP) was a liar.
From my experience, the dealer response is so full of holes I assumed it was full of BS before getting halfway through.
If the OP was the kind of person that loved to waste these guys time, why was he so offended this time as to go home and post his complaint here?
I hate that this has become a flame war here and my apologies for my first posts here adding to that, but if there are two things that I hate, they are poor salesmanship and excuses.

Meh, it sounds like both of them are at fault here. I do agree that the salesperson should NOT have posted anything in a forum in defense of the dealership. I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time, but nothing good can/will come out of it. You are not the spokesperson or PR person for your dealership. And if you were you would have known that bashing any customer in an online forum is not going to be good PR.
And to the "tire kicker". If you were so unhappy with the service you received then you should have contacted the GM or the owner. I had a similar experience and I simply wrote an e-mail to the owner. Within 45 min I had a response from him and we discussed the situation like two adults, not like two 15yr olds behind a computer. Or, as someone stated earlier, you could have taken your business elsewhere.

If you are going to correct other people's grammar, then let me start with you. Your is possessive. You're is the contracted form of you are. For example: You're a monster dumbass for not ever studying your books in high school. (presuming you ever graduated)
When will they have a brain requirement to be rich....

Your (please revise my spelling) insult to my intelligence as well as your comment about "being wealthy" are out of line, sir.
You are making two very big assumptions and your aggression is unwarranted.
Notice how I did not have to insult you to make my point.

Your logic is dizzying. The defense rests.
You are correct regarding my improper utilization of "you're". I thank you for pointing it out as I try to guard my grammar.

I worked at a Chrysler dealer, then a Datsun-Mazda dealer, then a Harley Davidson dealer in the late 70s - early 80s.
Yes you deal with a LOT of non-buyers (flakes?), but you just never know when you’ll have a sale.
You can’t believe the people that want to test-ride a Harley.
MOST serious buyers understand limiting the test drives.
As a customer you have to handle the sales guy a certain way, he’s a person too, with feelings, etc. I’m not saying you have to cater to the guy but a little nice-ness goes a LONG way, from the CUSTOMERS side.
I have a LOT of car friends that waltz into a dealer expecting to test drive a car just because who they (think) they are. (The sales guy doesn’t know squat about you at this point.)
When a test drive is not offered they get mad as hell, go buy a car somewhere else, then they wonder why the local dealer won’t bow down and kiss their feet when they want service.
I buy most of my cars out of town, (I know the conquests, service etc), but I ALWAYS try to buy local.
Yea the customer is always right, but ANYONE, customer, etc must earn some respect first.
My 2 ¢
BTW, I made $80 to $150k selling cars in the late 70s - early 80s, was a LOT of work, but good pay, fun too.

NB porsche is down the street from me... they are the worst... just because im in my early 30's i dont get any love... not even a hello sometimes... i'd never buy from them. i have a buddy who loves them... but he has more money than me and isn't discerning on price. he just likes the way they stroke his c@ck before they rape him on the price... then he's comment on the great service he got there... i think that's the difference in opinion about this dealership... which SUCKs.. basically, its the the old customer pyramid of customer service... you give it all the the platinum customers who you make the most money on, and none to the lead customers who take the most time and you make the least profit on. the problem is nowadays, the lead customer will go and start a thread on what horrible service he just received and will flame the dealer...
